About me

A smiling couple, a woman with black hair and a man with a bald head, sitting on their front porch with two small dogs, one white and one black, dressed in winter clothing, in front of a house with navy blue and white exterior walls.

Hi, I'm Cynthia—coach, facilitator, educator, and founder of Sana Sana Practice.

For more than 15 years, I've worked in healthcare, nonprofit leadership, and community systems, helping organizations and leaders create meaningful change. Along the way, I noticed that the people most dedicated to caring for others often struggled to make space for themselves.

Sana Sana Practice was created to offer a different kind of space.

I work with helpers, leaders, changemakers, and big-hearted people navigating transitions, seeking greater alignment, or exploring what's next. My approach blends thoughtful reflection with practical action, grounded in the belief that people don't need fixing—they need space to reconnect with their strengths, wisdom, and possibilities.

As a first-generation Mexican-American raised between cultures and communities, I bring both lived experience and professional expertise to my work. My coaching is rooted in curiosity, self-compassion, and the belief that meaningful change begins by returning to yourself.

I hold a B.A. from the University of Colorado Boulder, a Master of Nonprofit Management from Regis University, and a Professional and Life Coaching Certificate from UC Davis.

When I'm not coaching, you'll find me in my garden, birdwatching, reading, learning to knit, or spending time with my husband and our dogs.

If you're in a season of transition, possibility, or reimagining, I'd love to connect.
